The mighty Anderton Boat Lift is one of the 'Seven Wonders of the Waterways'. It's one of only two working boat lifts in the country and together with its visitor centre, café and nearby Northwich Woodlands make a visit unmissable!

You'll find picnic benches all around our visitor centre gardens - many with views of the lift. There's even a maze and a play area in the gardens.

The Northwich Community Woodlands are right next to our visitor centre along the path beside the River Weaver. Well worth a walk.
