Description
We have identified a build-up of silt behind the head gates at Lock 2 on the Leigh Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
The silt is currently restricting full opening of the gate. Widebeam boats be unable to travel through the lock until the silt is cleared. We are investigating options to remove the silt build up and an update will be issued on Friday morning.
