The pumps have been repaired at Wootton Rivers.  The locks will be fully open from 9.00am on Tuesday 11th October.

Water levels have recovered sufficiently overnight to allow limited passages across the summit pound. Locks 54 and 55 will be open between 9am and 11am daily to allow craft through.

All craft must cruise across the summit and through the lock at the opposite side. Volunteer lock keepers will be on duty at both locks to assist your passage.

A further update will be issued on Monday October 10th

The summit pound between lock 54 & Lock 55 remains closed to boat traffic. Water levels have not yet recovered sufficiently to allow safe passage of craft through the Bruce tunnel.

Description

Due to low water levels.

The lake at Crofton isn’t producing much to pump and 1 pump at Wootton Rivers has failed. Our contractors on site today, trying to fix the broken pump. 

An update will be issued on the afternoon of the 5th October
