The emergency electrical repairs have been completed ahead of schedule and the towpath is now open.
Description
Contractors (Balfour Beatty) are carrying out emergency electrical repairs at the back of the towpath to a 33KV cable which has been damaged by tree roots.
Due to the close proximity to the towpath and the temporary works associated the towpath requires a closure for works to be undertaken safely.
A signed diversion will be in place from the Bingley Arms on the B6117 Netherton Lane, Blacker Lane and Balk Lane in Horbury for the duration of the closure.
