Temporary works to restore the published width at Lock 28 are planned for Wednesday 17th August and expected to take 3 days to complete.

During this time, use of the lock will be restricted and boats may be delayed for up to 3 hours while work is in progress.

The lock will be available until 08:00 each morning, then between 11:00 and 11:30, 14:30 and 15:00 and after 18:00 each day. Please note however that these times may vary to some extent depending upon progress and our ability to ensure safe use of the lock.

Please rest assured that we will do all we can to minimise the impact on Trust customers and if possible will allow boats to pass more frequently.
