A temporary repair has been carried out, the bridge is now available for full operation
Permanent repair will be completed in due course.
Description
A bearing has collapsed on Kirk Lane Road Bridge.
The bridge is presently inoperable and closed to all canal traffic, road traffic is not affected.
Specialist contractors are working to resolve the problem.
We will issue an update tomorrow afternoon.
