Wakefield East Relief Road New Bridge Crossing

Contractors (HOCHTIEF UK Construction) are constructing a new bridge across the river. Activities will be ongoing at the site on a frequent basis including concrete pours above the width of the watercourse and installation of a parapet on the edge of the bridge. Concrete pours will require navigation traffic to be guided in a safe passage under the bridge. A safety boat will be on site to assist when these works are happening for any boats approaching the structure. Signage is displayed on the banks both upstream and downstream warning boats to slow down and abide to any instructions the Contractor may have. Delays will be no longer than 15 minutes at any time.
