Curdworth Lock 6, Birmingham & Fazeley Canal

Although we were hoping to carry out the repairs with only a restriction in place our contractors require the lock pound below to be completely drained. Whilst this is not ideal it will allow the entire culvert to be relined and therefore we have taken the decision to close the lock on 21st April to carry out the repairs.

To enable relining works to be carried out to the by-weir, the pound between locks 5 & 6 will be slightly lower than normal. Please slow down on approach and remain in the middle of the channel.
