Bridge 56 to Bridge 57, Woodseaves Cutting

As a consequence of a small land slip occurring during the works our contractors will now be required to clear the fallen material which is now blocking the towpath. The current  towpath closure will remain in place to enable the contractors to remove the material and stabilise the cutting. It is anticipated it will take two weeks to complete the works meaning the towpath with not reopen until the 29th April 2016.

Contractors working on behalf of the Canal and River Trust will be carrying out work in Woodseaves Cutting to repair the towpath between High Bridge (Br 57) and Hollins Bridge (Br 58).  The works will require the towpath to be closed from Cheswardine Road Bridge (Br 56) and Tyrley Farm Bridge (Br 59).
