Updates

24/08/2023 14:27

We are pleased to advise these works can now be done as a restriction; therefore we no longer need to do a full navigational closure for the length of the project.

Contractors working on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset Council will be demolishing the old gas pipe bridge that sits alongside Windsor Road Bridge.

They will be working in the area from 4th September 2023 until 8th December 2023.

At times, Contractors will be working from a pontoon in the river so please navigate with care and take instruction from staff on site. It is possible you may experience small delays of less that 15 minutes.

There will be a towpath closure with a diversion in place from the 9th October 2023 until the 31st November 2023 for 8 weeks.

Description

A navigation and towpath stoppage is required to allow Third Party Contractors, working on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset Council, to remove a disused gas pipe bridge.
