We would like to advise our customers that a further extension is required. Following the difficulties experienced early on which was explained in our previous update, the lock has now been dewatered and repair works to the gates have been identified. The mitre posts need to be cut and this needs to be done with scaffolding due to the size of the lock gates. There is also approx. 1 meter left to remove from the lock so that the very bottom of the gates can be inspected also. The team on site are aiming to complete these works by 17/03/2023. However, further additional time may be required. If this is the case, we will update this notice as soon as we can. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We would like to advise our customers that an extension is required to this stoppage. The team on site have been experiencing difficulties with some elements of the underwater works which means that an additional week is required. The stoppage will now end on 10/03/2023. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
