Further to the notice below, subject to suffcient water levels, we intend to open the Summit pound from Wootton Rivers Lock 51 to Crofton pumping station Lock 60 on Saturday 8th October at 9.30 am.

Description

We are sorry to advise that the Summit pound from Wootton Rivers Lock 51 to Crofton pumping station Lock 60 will be closed for the next few days as a result of a pump failure.

The repair was instructed earlier this week and we expect it to be completed by close of play on Friday, but please be aware it is likely to take a few days for levels to recover.

We will update this notice once we are pumping again and able to estimate the recovery time.

An internal redesign and rebuild of the pumping station is planned for this winter which will prevent the same fault from occurring again.
