Description
Please be advised that the Oxford Lift Bridges will have a restriction in place due to planned works. The works are the Phase 2 of the manual hydraulic upgrades to the Oxford Lift Bridges 233 and 234 at Wolvercote.
The works require a restriction due to the use of a pontoon to allow access to the area around the bridges.
We have planned the construction sequence in a way to minimise disruption as much as possible. Navigation will be restricted between 1200-1400 Monday to Friday, for a maximum of two hours. At other times there could be some delays of no more than 30 minutes. There will be no canal restrictions during the weekends.
The restriction on Bridge 233 will take place from 9/8/22 – 25/8/22 on Mondays to Fridays.
The restriction on Bridge 234 will take place 31/8/22 to 15/9/22 on Mondays to Fridays.
