Updates

10/10/2022 11:12

There are currently no issues with low water levels on the River Ouse particularly between Naburn Locks to Selby Lock.

The team have travelled from Goole to Naburn and found the river to be clear of debris.

With the increased flow of water, this should improve the conditions within the river.

We are still trying to source equipment to help remove the debris from the River Ouse, that we are unable to undertake from our own workboat as it is currently being refitted.

Skippers are still urged to proceed with caution and be vigilant for floating vegetation

Description

We are experiencing very low water levels in the River Ouse, with little fresh water flowing to flush debris into the Humber. To compound the challenge, our workboat that undertakes debris removal is currently being re-fit and is therefore unavailable to remove debris.

Skippers are urged to proceed with caution and be vigilant for floating vegetation.
