Ashton Basin, Preston (and east of basin)

Please be advised third party contractors will be onsite between bridge 10, towpath bridge and the Ashton Basin on the Lancaster Canal. 

The third party contractors will be clearing the site for the construction of a housing development.  This will include the removal of the hedge from around the boundary (basin site), mini-piling works and foundation work will follow. 

Whilst navigation and the towpath will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to wait if necessary.  Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third party contractors onsite.
