Description
Following engineering advice, Bingley 5-rise swing bridge has been taken out of use and locked in the ‘canal open’ position.
A pedestrian diversion route is in place via Bingley 3-rise for non-boating customers.
Navigation is unaffected and boat crews are welcome to use the lock bridges within the Bingley 5-rise lock area.
A plan for temporary repair is being developed and a further update will be provided by Tuesday 31st May 2022.
