We are pleased to advise the barrier operating fault has now been resolved at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge, on the Weaver Navigation and navigation has resumed.

Please be advised our specialist contractors have now carried out a successful repair to the motor which drives the wedges for Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge, on the Weaver Navigation.
However, following this repair, we have discovered further issues with the barriers which is now preventing the bridge from being operated.
Our contractors are due to site on Monday 20 June, a further update will be provided the afternoon of Monday 20 June.

Please be advised navigation remains closed to vessels that have an air draught of 9ft 0ins / 2.74m or greater at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge on the Weaver Navigation due to a mechanical failure on the bridge motor.
Our specialist contractors have assessed the fault and continue to establish a method of repair.
A further update will be provided by Friday 17 June.
