We are pleased to advise the tree obstructing the towpath has been removed near Bridge 29, Bank End Bridge on the Peak Forest canal, navigation is now open between Bridge 28, Thornsett Road Bridge and the Access Point on the Peak Forest canal.

Please be advised the towpath and navigation is closed between Bridge 28, Thornsett Road Bridge and the Access Point on the Peak Forest canal due to a windblown tree.
Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site later this afternoon to remove the obstruction.
An update will be provided tomorrow morning.
