We were not able to complete all our planned works at Lock 5 east in November 2022 due to challenges with water control, heritage consent and access down the canal due to works taking place at Empire Mills. The team need to revisit the lock to complete some void repairs to the offside lock chamber. This will ensure the lock is in a better condition ready for the summer months. The works are due to take place from 13/03/2023 until 31/03/2023. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
