We would like to inform you that we have decided to review the order in which the works at Lock 72 and Lock 84 are carried out. We have decided that it is better to carry out the works at Lock 72 first and then Lock 84.
This will allow for better mobilisation and water control management. As the Wigan Flight is also closed at Locks 82 & 87, we hope that this change will cause minimal impact to our boating customers.
A stoppage is required to carry out repairs to the bottom gates. We will also be carrying out repair works to the ladder & some masonry repairs.
