Camp Hill Customer Service Facilities, Grand Union Canal

Apologies for the delay in issuing an update.

We’re in discussion with community partners about options to regenerate the site, and hope to have some further updates available in the next few months.

Thank you for your patience over the extended closure of these facilities. We've had some promising interest in restoring the buildings here with corporate volunteers, and hope to have a further update to share in the next month.

We’re still waiting for a deliverable proposal to come forward for the development of the surrounding Samson Road area, and so we’re not able to provide any further updates at this time.  We do recognise the level of interest and need in restoring these services, and continue to investigate options for getting them restored and back open as soon as it’s viable.

The whole Camp Hill area is subject to a number of development proposals, and the Trust are working closely with other agencies to deliver improvements right along this section of canal. Before these other works take place, and due to continuing high levels of vandalism, we believe that any repairs are likely to be short-lasting. The facilities will therefore remain closed for the foreseeable future. 

We will provide updates when we are able, and certainly by January 2023.

Options are still be considered for the repair of the facility, it is vital that we restore in a manner that meets the demands and needs of the area and our customers.

Unfortunately we are not able to advise a time line for the repair but we hope to advise further within the next month.

Please be advised the Camp Hill Customer Services Facilities is closed until further notice. The facility is being assessed for repair following vandalism. An update will be provided later this week.
