Nottingham Beeston canal - canal turn north of Bridge 2

As part of the ongoing works at the Island Quarter, contractors will be undertaking minor repairs to the offside wall and grouting behind to prevent leakage.  

These works are immediately north of Bridge 2 and will involve the deployment of personnel into the water in a dry suit to repair the wall, and subsequent grouting works marked by an anti-pollution boom.  

There will be a “spotter” on the bank and any personnel will be extracted from the water on the approach of any craft, however we request that boaters slow down on approach and tackle this bend with additional caution.  

Boaters should be prepared to stop if necessary, though this is not anticipated.
