The northern towpath will be closed and the navigation width will be restricted.

As part of the recent bridge deck replacement works, Midland Metro will be installing the new bridge deck. To facilitate safe method of working, the northern towpath will be closed and pontoons will be installed across half of the width of the navigation. Access past the bridge will still be available on the southern towpath, and navigation traffic will be restricted to single lane traffic at this location. Banksman and signage will be utilised. We kindly remind customers to follow directions provided on site and take extra care whilst passing through this section.
