We are pleased to advise our teams have managed to contain and remove the pollution between Bridge 46, Dane Moss Bridge and Bridge 47, Broadhursts Swing Bridge on the Macclesfield Canal and navigation has resumed.
Description
The canal is closed between bridges 46 - 47 on the Macclesfield Canal due to a pollution incident. Booms have been placed across the canal at these locations to contain the pollution until further investigation and clean up can be carried out.
A further update will be issued on Monday afternoon.
