Updates

22/12/2021 09:30

The final tree has moved position and is blocking the navigation.

We will not be able to move the tree until the New Year when we have the correct equipment and access is available by the workboat.

09/12/2021 09:53

We have managed to recover two of the fallen trees.

The final tree is too big and we are waiting for the water levels to fall, before we can retrieve it using the workboat.

Navigation is passable, so a restriction is no longer in place.

We will update the notice when we have further information.

Description

Three trees have fallen across part of the navigation inbetween Milby Lock and the Sanitary Station.

At this moment, there is only room for narrowboats to navigate this section, unfortunately wide beams are unable to pass through.

Contractors have been organised to remove the vegetation.

We will update the notice when we receive further information
