Description
Please be advised that a rowing event has been organised by Gloucester Rowing Club and is planned for Sunday 31st October on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.
The course will use a section of the canal between Parkend and Hempsted Road Swing Bridge 22 with boats on the water between 8am and 4pm.
Starts will be staggered and around 200 people are expected to be involved.
The course will be marshalled and first aid provision is in place.
There will be safety boats on the water and all participants will receive a safety briefing.
A circulation pattern will be in place and litter, single file through bridges, trips, the weather (including lightning), waterborne diseases, welfare and emergency access have all been considered.
