The gates at Long Sandall Lock will be removed on the 4th of October for the repair works to commence.
Once the repair works have been completed the gates will be lifted back in on the 8th of October, therefore passage will not be available between this time.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to the damaged heel post the lock will not be available for self operation.
Until the repair works are complete, assisted passage will be available daily at 12:00.
No booking is required, however all craft wishing to pass through Long Sandall Lock will need to be present at the Lock before 12:00 on the day of passage.
Description
The up stream, off side heal post is damaged and the lock is not available for passage.
Engineers are currently on site assessing the required repair work.
We will update this notice when the assessment has been carried out.
