This towpath closure has been extended. Third party works are now expected to complete on 30th November due to a delay in Over Head Line tower build and additional works to clean out an overflow located within the towpath closure area. The towpath will reopen on 1st December.

Please be advised that due to health and safety reasons, the towpath will remain closed until 8th November when work are expected to complete on site. Please take care when using alternative routes.
Description
The towpath will be closed but navigation will remain open. Contractors on behalf of Western Power will be renewing two high voltage cables buried within the towpath. Advance towpath closure warning notices will be in place at relevant access points. Please take extra care when using alternative routes.
