Bridge 100 Deansgate Tunnel to Bridge 82, old Church Street Bridge, Rochdale Canal, Manchester

Please be advised Third-party contractors will be onsite between Deansgate Tunnel and Bridge 82, Old Church Street Bridge on the Rochdale Canal to carry out a number of bridge inspections on behalf of the Manchester City Council. 

To carry out the programme of bridge inspections, a 4m x 4m pontoon and scaffolding access platform will be in place at each location in turn.

Although the navigation and towpath will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop to allow the pontoon and equipment to be moved out of the way for safe passage. 

We anticipate a wait of no longer than 30 minutes.  Please listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors and take note of the signage onsite.
