Bridge 99 Albion Street Bridge - Rochdale Canal

Please be advised this work has been extended to Friday 13th August.

Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite at Bridge 99, Albion Street on the Rochdale Canal to carry out evasive blasting followed by painting of gas pipe to the underside of the bridge.

To be able to carry out the necessary works, scaffolding tower will be in place. The scaffolding will be installed below the bridge, so we advise our boating customers to remove their canopy before going under the bridge. Maximum craft dimensions will be maintained for the juration of the works. We ask all boat crew to stay onboard after leaving Lock 90, Albion Mill travelling up and to Lock 89, Tib Lock travelling down  

We politely request both towpath and canal users to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if asked to do so. For safe passage, diversions will be in place at the access point next to Lock 89, Tib Lock and the access point next to Lock 90, Albion Mill.

Please listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors and take note of the signage onsite.
