Please be advised that Third party contractors will be onsite between Lock 84, Dale Street and Picadilly Tunnel on the Rochdale Canal to install a pontoon to support the works of the adjacent Broadhurst / Churchgate building of Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester.
The Third party contractors, BioMatrix will install a 18m x 1.5m wide pontoon to support the cradle system being adopted to undertake the high level works.
The floating planters positioned within the canal will be temporarily repositioned to allow access and reinstated on completion.
Although the towpath and navigation will remain open, we politely ask customers to approach the area with caution, take note of any signage and listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors.
