Update:
Repairs have been carried out and the lock is fully operational
Inspection this morning has identified a possible structural failure to one of the collar fixing securing a lock gate to the bank.
Our engineering team has been alerted and a more thorough inspection will take place to determine what the issue is and determine any necessary repairs that may be required.
Until this has been completed the lock will remain closed for boat use and operation. It is not possible at this time to say how long the lock may remain closed.
