Please be advised that due to traffic volume at the Stourport on Severn, river pontoons for the Narrow Locks are now visitor moorings only and river pontoons for Wide Beam Locks are lock landing moorings only. This arrangement will be in place until the current works at Narrow Lock 1 and Lock 2 are complete. Thank you for your cooperation.
Description
Stourport Lock 1 and Lock 2 will be closed for planned stoppage works. Works to be undertaken include top and bottom gate replacements, ladder and brickwork repairs.
During narrow lock gate replacement works customers are advised to use the Wide Beam Locks to access Stourport Basin or the River Severn. The Wide Beam locks will be open; if customers require assistance through these locks, staff members/ volunteers are available between 8am and 6pm daily. Staff will be based in the Stourport Office located at the top of the Wide Beam Lock. Customers can moor up and wait in the Top Basin, or use the pontoons if coming up from the River Severn, when waiting for access through the locks. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
