Our contractor has now completed this phase of the works and the canal and towpath have been re-opened ahead of the planned date. The towpath and Navigation are now available for use.

Please be aware that we have had to make the decision to extend this stoppage until Sunday 3rdApril 2022.There are a couple of contributing factors.
One being the recent storms which cost our teams around a week as encapsulation sheeting had to be installed and then removed around the bridge. Also when works began the overall condition of this bridge was worse than anticipated meaning that it needed additional repair works that were not originally planned for but were
necessary.
