Lock 15, Stoke Bruerne, Grand Union Canal

This restriction has been extended.  Unfortunately we have had to extend this restriction due to recent bad weather and craft breakdown in order to complete the works safely.  The restriction will now be in place until 06/04/2022.  Navigation will still be possible but please be prepared for a short delay whilst the Lock is made ready.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to having to extend the works on the Watford Lock stoppage, it meant that we were not able to begin works to Lock 15 as planned. We are planning to being work on Lock 15 on 21st March under a restriction. The lock is a wide beam lock so we can allow narrow boats to pass through with guidance from our team who will be on site. Please note that whilst this work is being carried out, no wide beam craft will be able to pass through the lock. Only craft up to 7ft can safely pass through. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The details of this Stoppage have changed.  Our engineers have assessed these works and we no longer need to close the navigation in order to complete them.  Works will now be completed under a navigation restriction from 07/03/2022 – 18/03/2022.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

A stoppage is required to repair the top gate balance beam amongst some other repair works.
