Due to unforeseen circumstances during the installation of the bridge by the contractors and its not yet safe to open the towpath.

Description
Please be advised the towpath will be closed for 8 weeks to allow the safe construction of an abutement for the new footbridge to span the canal immediately north of the existing road bridge.
