Description
There has been a fire at Stanton Recycling centre, which is located between Hallam Fields Lock and Stanton Lock.
The fire brigade were out last night with our local team and the fire in under control.
However, there is a lot of smoke and they may need to pump water out of the navigation to put the rest of the fire out.
Therefore, we recommend that boaters do not travel along this section until the fire brigade have finished putting the fire out, as there is risk of low water and there are problems with visibility caused by the smoke.
