The navigation and towpath will remain open.

An Operative dressed in a dry suit will be in the water at the bridge hole undertaking an inspection of the structure. Support staff will monitor the works site and the bridge approaches for ongoing boats and towpath users.

Advanced warning signage will be placed to both Bridge approaches, warning of the works ahead. A support vehicle and equipment will be located close to the Bridge site. We kindly ask boating customers to follow signages and slow down when approaching this area. Please be prepared to wait a short period of time whilst the operative either completes the inspection, or safely moves clear of the Bridge hole. We would like to remind towpath users to follow directions and guidance to safely pass the work site.
