M6 Motorway Viaduct, south of Perrywell Road Bridge, Witton, Tame Valley Canal

Interserve on behalf of the Highways Agency will be carrying out concrete repairs to three motorway support beams that span the canal at the above location. The repairs will be undertaken in two phases with half of the navigation closed whilst the works are carried out. Scaffolding will be erected in such a way as to enable one half of the navigation to remain open to boat traffic, giving a minimum of 2.50 metres navigational width available at all times. The towpath will remain open by way of installing a pontoon walkway into the canal.

Short delays may be encountered during the erection and dismantling of the scaffolding. Please follow any on-site instructions and signage issued by the contractors.
