Our dredging contractor is currently mobilised on the Aire & Calder navigation and will first be clearing the Aire & Calder flood gates, working upstream from the mobilisation site at Heck.

We expect them to reach Bank Dole for mid-May.

We will provide an update on Friday 14th May 2021, or sooner if completion is earlier.

Our Project team are currently liaising with contractors regarding suitable dates for carrying out the necessary silt removal works on site.

This work forms part of a larger dredging programme across the Yorkshire & North East region and will be scheduled accordingly.

Navigation through Bank Dole Lock is likely to be able to resume in April, on a date yet to be confirmed.

We will update this notice when we have further information.

Description

Due to the build up of silt during the recent floods/high water levels Bank Dole Lock is currently not available for passage.
