We're pleased to advise the following opening hours for the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal.
Government advice may change as we emerge from lock down, so it is possible that the dates and times will need to be varied, in line with any further restrictions.
We will of course update this notice, should the need arise.
From March 29th
Open seven days a week, between 08:00 & 16:00
From April 12th
Open seven days a week between 08:00 & 18:00
From May 17th
Open seven days a week between 08:00 & 19:00
From Sep 27th
Open seven days a week between 08:00 & 18:00
October 18th
Open seven days a week between 08:00 & 16:00

Please continue to monitor our notices when planning your journey, as it may be necessary to alter the published arrangements at relatively short notice, due to availability of staff and the national Covid restrictions
Bridge Opening times 2020/21
From 1st November 2020 to 28th March 2021, the bridges will be available between 08:00 and 16:00 every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, when all bridges will be closed.
From Thursday through to Monday when the canal is open we will have a bridge keeper operating multiple structures -

Please be aware of the following lock opening times for the River Severn Navigation, for Winter 20/21.
From 19th October until 31st October 2020, the River Severn locks will be available for navigation, between 08:00 and 16:00, every day.
From 1st November 2020 to 28th March 2021, the locks will be available for booked passage only, between 08:00 and 16:00 every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, when all locks will be closed.
