Unfortunately we have been forced to extend the length of this work due to time lost because of poor weather conditions. We have also identified further work that is required upon removing the lock gate.
This closure will now run until Tuesday 13th October 4pm.

Description
Due to an unexpected maintenance fault with one of the lock gates, we have made plans to temporarily close Turnover Lock 27.
The lock has been assessed, to establish the full extent of what repair works are needed.
The works will start on Monday the 5th October and we aim to be finished by 4pm on Saturday 10th October.
Boaters can operate the lock up until the commencement of the planned works but are asked to minimise the use of the lock and proceed with extreme care.
Once the works have started on the 5th October, the lock will not be operational to boaters until the works have been completed.
