Further to the information below, we are pleased to advise that normal hours have now resumed at the summit pound (Cadley Lock to Crofton Top Lock)

Opening at 08:00 hrs and closing at 16.30 hrs.

Further to the update below. The summit pound (Cadley Lock to Crofton Top Lock) will be closed from 12:00 today.

We will reopen the Summit from 08:00 to 12:00 on 18/09/2020 to facilitate passage. And will review the situation tomorrow afternoon.

We are sorry to advise that the failure of the EA structure at Twerton has caused low river levels on the River Avon which in turn has affected our ability to pump water up to Crofton Top Lock, this combined with urgent maintenance works on our pumps at Wootton Rivers and Bradford on Avon has caused the water levels on the Summit to fall, and this is proving slow to recover

We may have to close the section between Cadley Lock (54) and Crofton Top Lock (55) in order to stabilise and recover the water level.

We are considering all options however customers should be advised that we may have to close this section from 12:00 today.

We will provide an update to this notice at 11:00 today.
