Description
Contractors working on the Keadby 2 Power Station project will be undertaking heavy lifts from coasters moored on Railway Wharf close to Keadby Lock.
The lifting operations will restrict access through Keadby Lock for a period expected to last 14 hours.
Skippers of all craft are asked to avoid planning lock passage during the restriction periods.
Temporary moorings will be available on the River Trent at Derrythorpe (approximately 3km upstream of Keadby Lock on the west river bank). Derrythorpe jetty will be available for any vessel wanting to wait until the lift has been completed and the restriction lifted, there is no access from Derrythorpe Jetty to the river bank. Any vessel wanting to use the temporary waiting point should inform the Keadby Lock keepers when booking lock passage on 07733 124611.
Canal & River Trust are working closely with the lifting contractor, shipping agents and harbour authority to keep lock restrictions to an absolute minimum.
