Our teams have detected an issue with the Offside Tail Gate at Lock 2, Stanthorne Lock on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal.
Whilst our teams work on a method of repair, please follow these operational instructions:
- Ensure bottom offside gate is closed first and gates align correctly before operating paddles.
- Open tow path side gate paddle first to release pressure before attempting to lift the offside paddle.
Signage will be onsite to reflect the above information.
