Sixways Stadium Lock 11 to Tibberton Bridge 25, Worcester& Birmingham Canal

The towpath will be closed between 12th October 2020 and 15th January 2021 for widening and improvement works.

Please be advised that towpath improvement works have been rescheduled and will now take place from 28th September to 11th December.  

The towpath will be closed from Lock 11, Sixways Stadium to Tibberton Bridge 25 for restoring and widening works. The works, which is funded by Highways England, working in conjunction the Canal & River Trust, will include a new all-weather towpath and access improvements. The navigation remains open but workboats are being utilised to undertake the towpath improvements, so there may be short delays whilst boats are being loaded/ unloaded within this area. Please observe local diversions or seek alternative routes. To enable construction, all access points onto and off the canal along the construction site will be closed.
