Towpath resurfacing Paddington Arm - Manor Farm Road, Alperton (Piggery Bridge, No12) to Greenford Railway Bridge (No16AA)

We apologise for the delay in this work. This was due to wet weather preventing resurfacing. We have completed the eastern part of the work from Alperton (Manor Farm Road) to Horsenden Lane and this section is now open.

We will be completing the surface dressing from Horsenden Lane to Greenford Railway Bridge by Friday 18th September as long as the current dry weather continues.

The towpath and access points will need to be closed in stages with diversions in place. The canal will remain open to navigation and mooring during these works.

We apologise for the delay to this work as our contractors are returning to site in multiple locations following the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The works will take place as soon as possible.

As part of the ongoing Paddington to West Drayton towpath improvements, The Trust is returning to complete the final surface dressing between Alperton and Greenford following the towpath widening last year.

From 20 July to 31 July, the towpath between Manor Farm Road, Alperton (Piggery Bridge, No12) and Greenford Railway Bridge (No16AA) will be closed while resurfacing improvement works are undertaken.

The Trust has been awarded funding to implement the next phase of the Quietways programme in west London, which involves towpath re-surfacing and access improvements.

From 13 July to 17 July, the towpath between Piggery Bridge 12 – Railway Bridge 16 will be closed while improvement works are undertaken.
