Bridge 192, Wincham Hotel Bridge - Trent & Mersey Canal

As the repairs to Bridge 192 are taking longer than expected please note the amended end date for the 3rd party works is as follows:

Monday 21st August.

Please be advised Third party contractors, working for Cheshire West & Chester Council, will be onsite to carry out repairs to the underside of the bridge and repainting the parapet handrails on both sides of Bridge 192, Wincham Hotel Bridge on the Trent & Mersey Canal.

To be able to carry out maintenance of the bridge & parapet, temporary overhead scaffold and pontoon will be in place.

We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop whilst the pontoon is moved out the way.

Please listen to any advice that may be given by the onsite banksmen to take note of the signage onsite.

NB According to current Government guidelines, boaters are not presently allowed to remain on their boats overnight, unless they live aboard. This situation is likely to change in early July at the point when restrictions are lifted on the use of caravans and holiday cottages etc.
