Bridge 123E, Cow Lane Bridge & Cow Lane Retaining Wall Refurbishment - Shropshire Union Canal

Please be advised Third party contractors, working for Cheshire West & Chester Council, will be onsite to carry out repairs and repainting the parapet handrails on both sides of Bridge 123E, Cow Lane Bridge on the Shropshire Union Canal.

To be able to carry out maintenance of the bridge & parapet, temporary overhead scaffold will be in place. We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if asked to do so. Please listen to any advice that may be given by the onsite banksmen to take note of the signage onsite. 

NB According to current Government guidelines, boaters are not presently allowed to remain on their boats overnight, unless they live aboard. This situation is likely to change in early July at the point when restrictions are lifted on the use of caravans and holiday cottages etc.
