Updates

09/03/2021 17:05

We are pleased to confirm we have been able to remove the dams sooner than anticipated and the navigation is now open.

17/02/2021 10:51

We are delaying the start of this closure by one week, until 1st March, to allow dredging of the Seend feeder to be undertaken before the back pumps are turned off and dams put in place.

We still hope to complete the repairs required to enable the navigation to be re-opened on 19th March, as originally planned.

Description

Repairs and improvements to the pumping station (below Lock 17) will require a dam to be installed in the canal preventing any boat movements.

Please note the towpath will also be closed in this area.
